How about a custom t-shirt making kit? You could include a plain t-shirt, different colored fabric markers, stencils, and maybe even a screen-printing kit with his favorite design. Another idea would be a personalized t-shirt that you design and have printed with a picture or phrase that he loves. You could even add a personal touch by drawing or handwriting something on the shirt yourself using fabric markers. Alternatively, you could look into a screen printing class where he could learn how to design and print his own t-shirts.
